The Navajo Studies Center at the Rough Rock Community School publishes a variety of Navajo Teaching Units at different grade levels. We strongly believe it is required that every school on the Navajo Reservation attempt to carry out the Navajo Education Policies passed by the Navajo Nation Council in 1984. In those educational policies, there is a mandate for every Navajo child in every Navajo school that shall be taught his/her Navajo History, Language and Culture in every grade.
The Navajo Studies Center is proud to offer this book of three Navajo Teaching Units for use in Navajo classrooms.
