Preface:
Arizona State University and the Navajo Nation Education Committee have entered a partnership aimed at filling the gaps in existing school administrators programs for school administrators working on the Navajo reservation. Both ASU and the Navajo Education Committee believe there are certain areas not covered in existing University Education Leadership and School Administration programs.
As a result of this belief, the two entities have developed a Navajo School Administrator's Program which has as its objective providing the missing information which would allow a school administrator on the Navajo reservation to be most effective.
A portion of that Navajo School Administrators Program is "School Law on the Navajo Reservation." What follows has been developed by Larry Ruzow a noted attorney familiar with school law on the Navajo reservation.
